![]() I had no difficulty sucking water through the tube, it was no harder than a standard drinking straw despite the length. The Tube ends in a little "bite Piece" right by your mouth to hold between your teeth, and in order to use it, you have to squeeze the two "triggers" on the drinking tube, if the "triggers" aren't pinched together the Drinking Tube is air tight, handy for changing canteens. I had no Canteen Adapter for the Drinking Tube, but I tried dropping the end in a water bottle to use as a straw to test it, and it was working fine. ![]() I tried talking with the mask on, and the voicemitter was working fine, and was quite clear. ![]() I have no idea how old the filter is, but a tried a very non scientific test, and put it on, and tried to smell things, and got no Oder at all, and the air itself tasted "clean". After a few minutes of figuring out how to don it, I managed to get it on my head, once you get the straps adjusted it was totaly air tight, there were no leaks that I could detect, I tested this by feeling around the edges, and also by covering the air intake with my hand, and trying to breath, I couldn't, and trying was starting to vacuum seal the mask to my face as I inhaled sucking in whatever air was ambient in the mask, then nothing at all, then I removed my hand, took a deep breath, covered the intake, and "exhaust" area of the mask again, and exhaled as hard as I could, I could feel the mask "inflating", and air was forced out around my hand through the "exhaust port", but there was no leakage around the edges. The one I got was (obviously) surplus, and came packed in a clear plastic bag, it included one sealed Israeli Filter of an unknown age, and a drinking tube, but no canteen adapter. So I picked up an Israeli M-15 Gas Mask last week, and thought I'd post a little review. ![]()
